our history

Remembrance Community Church is a plant from Rockdale Community Church (RCC) in Conyers, GA.  For years,  RCC had been praying and seeking the Lord's direction regarding planting a church.  In 2010, the Lord called Dr. Scott Anderson to spearhead the planting effort as the Pastor.

In 2011, it was decided that RCC would plant its first church in Madison, GA.  In August of that year, a core group of nine families began training on planting a church as a mission to the east Georgia area known as Lake Country.  The group spent six months learning a Christ-centered, Biblical theology of missions. This core group started a missional movement in Lake Country in January of 2012.

God allowed Remembrance Community Church to start weekly Sunday morning services in the home of one of our core families in August of 2012.  Within a few months, we needed more space and were able to move our services to Morgan County Elementary School.  The search for a more permanent location led us to a building in an office complex in Madison.

In September of 2017, we purchased an existing church property in Madison and began renovations.  October 1, 2017 was our first worship service at this new location.

In January of 2021, God called Brian St. James to be our Pastor.

May God be glorified in every step of our continued journey.
