children's Sunday School

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments; and that they should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast, whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Psalm 78:5-8

Our prayer and hope for the next generation of Remembrance Community Church is that they surpass us in faith, knowledge, righteousness, fruitfulness, and evangelistic zeal for Christ; that they will rise up and teach the generations to come of God's grace and faithfulness.

It is our conviction that there is much we can do to nurture the faith of the children and youth, who have been entrusted to us, through worship, Bible study, and leading by example.  Our goal is to come alongside parents in this calling, to undergird, not usurp.  The ultimate responsibility lies with parents and grandparents.

We believe that the world has an agenda for our children that is not Christ-centered.  May our passion and vision for our children and youth, in instructing them in the ways of God, be greater than the world's agenda.  May it never be said of us that we stood by and watched as the world molded our children and youth.

Our aim is to adhere to the standard in children's and youth ministry that is Christ-exalting, God-glorifying, Bible-saturated, truth-driven, and doctrinally-grounded.  Our desire is for our children and youth to become faith-filled, God-centered, mission-minded, soul-winning, God-fearing, Christ-treasuring, joyfully-forgiving, spiritually-fruitful men and  women who are devoted to spreading a passion for the supremacy of God in all things, for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ.

Our heart is the same as the Apostle John when he says in 3 John v. 4, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
